TIANJIN PORT DISRUPTED BY HUGE EXPLOSIONS

In the wake of  massive explosions from Tianjin Dongjiang Port Ruihai International Logistics warehouse last night, it is reported there will be significant disruption to port and onshore operations at Tianjin seaport.

The Tiajin Maritime Safety Administration (TMSA) reported that port operations were halted for 6 hours earlier today. It is alleged the explosion was caused by hazardous goods and there is likely to be a nationwide inspection of all businesses handling dangerous chemicals and explosives.

Tianjin is the 10th largest container in the world which handled 14.1 million teu in 2014 and home to 15 million people.
